A commercial halogenerator grinds pharmaceutical-grade salt into the air, fine enough to breathe deep, while a skilled massage therapist works the tension from your back and shoulders. The walls are salt. The floor is salt. Your muscles let go, and your lungs get something too.
This is not a spa add-on. Salinair Salt Room Spa has run a dedicated salt cave in Rochester Hills for more than 12 years, and it is the only place in Metro Detroit where a massage happens inside one.
Halotherapy, also called dry salt therapy, is the practice of breathing pharmaceutical-grade salt particles dispersed into an enclosed space by a commercial halogenerator. The particles are ground to 1 to 5 microns, fine enough to travel deep into the airways, where salt's natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties go to work. Sitting in the cave feels like sitting in very clean, still air. On the Massage With Dry Salt Therapy sessions, 45 minutes of halotherapy runs alongside your massage.

No. The couples massage happens in the salt cave but does not run the halogenerator, and the solo therapeutic massage takes place in our private spa room. Only the Massage With Dry Salt Therapy sessions include 45 minutes of active halotherapy. Choose the one that fits what you are after.

Yes. The couples massage puts two tables side by side in the Small Salt Cave for the two of you, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. It is a private booking for your pair.

Massage sessions are for adults. Children are welcome in the salt cave through a separate private family cave booking, which is built for them.
